I know, I know, none of these rankings matter if Bama runs the table from here on out.  But, I found Danny boy's logic laughable.  In his playoff rankings, he gave the reason that he has TCU in the top 4, is their tough 1 point win, in tough conditions, over W. VA.  The reason that he gave for not having Bama in the top 4, is that they do not have a signature win.  He obviously thinks it is tougher for TCU to beat W. VA by 1 point than it is for Bama to beat them by 10 points.

Cecil Hurt made reference to the same kind of illogical logic from the media in general:

"For instance, there was immediate lobbying for TCU to jump ahead of Alabama in the next poll — because TCU got a one-point win over a team Alabama beat by 10 in the season opener. That's what passes for logic these days."

Joey Galloway (Ohio St., Big Ten homer) is even worse. He was on Finebaum's show today and had Alabama 7th. He had Michigan State #3 over Oregon (who dominated them). Gallowa has been on Paul's show before and after Galloway hung up, Paul said it was obvious Galloway was a Bama hater. I think Paul has inside info on this guy for him to make such a strong statement.

Bama was not in Kanell's top 6.  He did mention only them when asked for other teams, so he probably has them at 7 too.
