The Alabama softball team (51-9) will open the competition at the Women's College World Series against California (44-11) on Thursday, June 2. The two teams will meet at Noon CT, at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium. Pam Ward and Michele Smith will call the action on ESPN2.

That big girl did a great job hustling down the line to beat out that infield hit.  #22 I think it was.  It would have been easy for her to give up on that one.

Amen! What a team effort today, it's a coaches dream when all the players respond as they did today.

Wow.  I've been stuck in a meeting since 1 and had to quit following the game.  Looks like it was a real nail biter to the end.  Interesting move by Murphy to take out Kelsi when she was on such a roll.

Thanks for the step-by-step rundown...I was able to get a little of the game suspense by reading each update rather than just looking at the final score.
