Good question Jamos. Let me know when someone figures it out. This team has no leadership. If the guys who are supposed to be setting the example are not, I guess a change is needed. Hope Bama can still salvage this season. Roll Tide!

They make the trip so something happened while in Baton Rouge. They might have missed curfew or snuck out of the hotel. These guys are suppose to be team leaders. Our top four players are out and none of them are hurt.  >:(

Our team is deep. We need the young guys like Hankerson, Eblen, Randolph, Jacobs, Cooper, The Swede, Gueye and Lacey to step up. LSU is not very good. We can still win this game.

Looks like Grant is finally getting to the bottom of the chemistry problem on this team. Hope it helps because the team is very talented. Let's hope the other guys play good tonight. It's their turn now to prove their worth!

I can't say I'm not disappointed, but I am very glad that CAG is taking the bull by the horns and taking control of this team. He is doing exactly what he needs to do to show this very talented team that he is in control and they need to do what he expects them to do (or not do what they are told not to do). This season may pay a price, but it is going to help them in the long run.

Hope there were no marines involved!

So, here's my starting line-up for tonight:

PG-Lacey
SF-Randolph
C -Jacobs or Engstrom then Jacobs would replace Cooper at PF
PF-Cooper
SG-Hankerson

Reserves:

G/PG-Eblen
C      -Gueye
G      -Obasohan

I expect an 8 man rotation.

That's what I've been thinking too.  Maybe these guys went out experiencing the night life of Baton Rouge and didn't make it back in time.  That would be a best case scenario.

Might have been late for a team meeting or practice as well, who knows but I betcha they and the rest of the team won't ever forget what they did and the consequences for doing it.

I don't think anything major happened, more like what some of you guys are saying, a curfew violation or drinking, etc. At least it happened against LSU, instead of Miss. State or Florida.

Gotta see how this plays out but this sounds serious.  CAG will deal with it the right way but it may not be very pretty for a while.

Re: Ala. suspensions. Coach Anthony Grant got news Fri. night, made decision then. 3 players driven to T-Town Sat. a.m. by grad assistant.

This was not a case of a missed curfew. There was no incident of any kind in Baton Rouge.

What could they have done? No way will I believe Steele would be involved with a positive drug test, so it must be something else. Grades, attending classes, not eating all of their vegetables?

Here's a link.

Alabama coach Anthony Grant said he made the decision to suspend veterans JaMychal Green, Trevor Releford and Andrew Steele on Friday night after receiving information about something that happened before the trip.

Don't ypu think if it was something minor he would have allowed them to sit on the bench all night and semd them home.  My question is when does JMG run out of chances?  AS a 5 year sr. should know better, maybe this should be his final also.  As far as I know TR, this is his first trouble.

I have to know what it is they did before I could give a good answer. However, your point about Greene is outstanding. I would define something minor as drinking together, which is bad since Releford is not 21, or not attending classes, etc.
