Friggin storms coming again tomorrow.  Last Friday...

1.  House in our neighborhood was hit by lightning.  Destroyed their electronics, wifi, and water (sprinkler) system, and blew holes in their gas line.  Gas was spewing into the air from their front yard (didn't ignite).
2.  House next to a friend's house burned east of town to the ground via lightning strike.  Family home dating back to 1900.
3.  Found out today that a friend of LF lost their roof in the storm.  They live just south of Oxford.

North Alabama is set to get some of that too.  Hopefully it won't be as bad as the last one.  Sleep with one eye on the skies and hopefully all will be safe...

We had a lot of severe rainfall yesterday here on Kauai.  This pacle doesn't dig ditches down the roads to contain the runoff either. Had to drive back to the hotel trying to dodge the water that was running down the roads. I even had to drive through water that was almost knee deep at one point...Scary...

I hope for no severe storm damage or injury, but I also hope we maintain utilities.   Lauderdale Co had about 15k customers out last weekend, with several being out up to 3 days.  The grid is pieced together with duct tape and bubble gum.

FISHING UPDATE FROM 2:

He's gone to the beach today to TEST THE WATERS.

He notified me at 8:30 with a pic of a nice big redfish he'd (allegedly  ) caught, plus reported they'd hooked and lost a pompano.

I'm sure he'll post pics when he returns to dry land.

I'll be coming home next week.  There was some uncertainty about when/if we would be able to run this test because of weather but we found a window of decent weather and pulled the trigger.
