According to a report by InsideMDSports.com’s Jeff Ermann, the Alabama offensive coordinator recently interviewed for the Maryland job. Kiffin, who’s been with the Crimson Tide since 2014, “seems unlikely to return next year,” per the report.

I think most people expected his time at Alabama to be short. I did not expect him to leave after the first year even when he worked wonders with Blake Sims and our offense. If he gets the right offer he should take it. I feel sure CNS would support him. I hope he is selective like Kirby Smart has been and does not bolt for a bad job. However, there are some good opportunities this year.

I have become a Lane Kiffin fan.

My UGA friends are hoping to fire Richt and hire CKS this year.

I don't see Kiffin at Maryland as being a good idea or good fit. He's a West Coast type of guy and would fit in more at a Pac-12 school. Plus, Maryland is a pit when it comes to recruiting, facilities, & football in general, with a massive stadium that holds 51,000 fans. The final problem is he would have to play Ohio St, Michigan State, Michigan, and Penn State every year. I just don't see this as a wise move.

He was in over his head at USC, one of the Top 5 to 7 programs in the nation, & still too immature & inexperienced for the job. If he is looking at the Bg 10, he needs to look at the other division which has Purdue, Illinois, Minnesota, etc., & offers an easier path to victory, like Iowa has done.

I always thought Kiff needed to stay at Bama for three years to fully 'launder' himself...or fully rehab his reputation.  So for his sake I hope he stays one more year.  That will also give him a year to work with BBarnett.

Again next season, we will be going with an un-established QB.  Seems like it would be better to do that with an OC the QB knows.

I think Kiffin would be a good fit in Miami personally...

Now that Pinkel is retiring, I think Mizzou might be a good fit for Kiffin.

Miami & Missouri are interesting choices for Kiffin. I think Miami is taken, but Missouri could be interesting. He would play Vandy, Kentucky, & S. Carolina each year. Add 4 non-conference cupcakes & he would have 7 easy wins to start the season with the credibility of the SEC.

Yeah, I don't see CLK coming up here. The fact is MD football takes a back seat to, well, pretty much every sport up here. Ravens, Redskins, Orioles, Nationals, MD B'ball, Wizards, Capitals, and probably MD women's b'ball are ahead of Terps football. I have gained a measure of respect for CLK since he has been at Bama, but I still don't think his ego could handle not being top dog in the area.

CLK  has chance to win a national championship and improve his knowledge and resume'. What can he be thinking? Maryland can not win. RTR!
