Good chilly morning, all.  It's 41 degrees here.  Brrr!  Ice cube

Hope your revival went well, Preacher, and you didn't need to revive anyone with the paddles.  Funny.

Bet you guys who walk outside got a brisk shock from the cold.  I'm staying here with my coffee until daybreak, hoping the wind isn't an issue again today.

From the practice update, sounds like this bye week came at just the right time for healing dings and bruises.  We'll need to be healthy for the November games.

Enjoy your morning coffee and (ugh) diet cokes.

It was a chilly walk indeed, Chech. Was ok after the first lap around the lake. No ducks or geese on the lake for the first time, this morning. Guess they've headed south.

Yep, sure hope the team is healing up and getting ready for the Fighting Orgerons. They are improved and may give us a test. We need to be ready for them.

It is COLD here on the knob this morning. About to carry Mrs Dottie to get her Epidural this morning maybe that will ease her down some. You all stay warm it is winter time in Alabama especially the part we live in. RTR!

Hope all goes well for Miss Dottie, Preacher.

Well 2, doubt those geese, if there are Canada Geese, will migrate south from there.  Prolly a local flock that spend days in nearby ponds and lakes.  Prolly just a fluke that they're gone today.  Bet they'll be back.  Depending on the species of "ducks", maybe they left with the north wind.

It was dark, but I could see where they normally hang out from the reflection of the lights and they weren't there. And you're right, both the geese and the ducks have been there since I've been walking there. They were prolly hiding trying to trick me.

Too many variables about duck/goose migration to discuss herein, but usually if the Canada Geese are there now they'll stay.  Lots of local flocks of them in Virginia and other areas farther north.  Ducks are still moving south this time of year, and some "migrate" locally 50-100 miles as weather changes through the winter.

All I know is that it was very quiet without the ducks laughing at me.

Sounds just like them.

They are actually back, the ducks anyway. Saw them on my way home. The interstate runs between the lake and my apartment. There is a big pond at the apartment complex. The geese are there. I guess they go between the lake and the pond.

Hey errbody.  Got busy at work today so I didn't get to try and log on this morning.  Gonna have to tell the boss once again that I didn't take the job to work... Angry  Anyways, I'm glad that Ms. Dottie is doing well.  Hope everyone else is too.

I got a text message last Friday from someone I go to church with.  Our retired preacher's wife had fallen and separated her shoulder.  She was lying on the ground unable to get up so the husband called for an ambulance.  When she got to the hospital they found that she had also broken her hip.  Total hip replacement was done on Saturday.  The original hospital they took her to was able to reset her shoulder before transferring her.  Last I heard she was doing some better and was able to walk some after her surgery...

Indeed, 2 ladies who can use prayers.

Mallards?  You know, they're not really black (except when you walk before daybreak!).  You misled me!  They're prolly resident/nonmigratory too.

Maybe they're from Oregon?
