I think he will need to run a pro-style offense. He also better be a work-a-holic and able to take getting yelled at. As good as a coach as CNS is, from what I have heard from other coaches who was on the recruiting trail and at clinics, he is a hard man to work for. That being said perfection ain't easy.
so ? you don't want us to throw your name in the hat then ? As much as I would love to be know as the OC for the University of Alabama, there are many more out there more qualified than me.

I have a few things I want to complain about. First, there needs to be some accountability on Heisman voting. I am not saying RGIII, as he is known, is not a good football player. What I am saying how about playing against the same type of competition that TR played against or at least take that into consideration. Also, look at the position and what it entails. TR, when in the game, is hit on practically every play. He is either blocking or taking hits when he is running the ball. How about the yards after contact? I understand I am bias, but I look at the facts. Some players play against tough defenses and others play in weak conferences. Is there any type of formula that could be used, probably not? Maybe some of the voting rights should be taken away. I honestly don’t know the best system, but I do think TR should have at least come in second. My second rant concerns Urban Meyer. Why does OSU get a special waiver from the NCAA so they can have two coaching staffs? This will allow UM going out and recruiting while the other coaches now on the staff get to prepare the team for the bowl game. OSU chose to bring UM in, they had a choice and now the NCAA rewards the removal of a coach by allowing the new coach to come in early. Other coaches who have teams that are playing in bowl games have to work around their practice schedules and meetings to work on recruiting, why the special treatment. Finally, Urban was run out of the SEC because of health problems. The health problems were caused mainly by his losing his favored status and replaced by Coach Nick Saban. Back when I posted on Tidesports, I wrote there was a new sheriff in town and his name was Nick Saban. Think about when UM came down with his health problems. He wasn’t getting the attention because Bama was headed to the National Championship game, so what does he do he announced he had health problem. Are you telling me this couldn’t wait until after his bowl game? Urban should do well at OSU because there really aren’t any strong personalities that will take the attention away from him, plus he worked for ESPN. But the biggest factor for his success is CNS is still in the SEC.

I have not read all the post, so I don't know if this has been discussed. I think OSU lost on the day or around the time OSU basketball coaches were killed in the plane crash. Some people may take that into account. I honestly don't know who or what is going to be favored when the final decision comes out. OSU's victory over OU was sound, as well as aided by the Sooners, and they did have 2 weeks to prepare.

Are the defenses in the SEC as good as advertised or is it the lack of offensive fire power in the conference that allows them to be ranked as high as they are?

It looks as if this is the winning Sr class in Bama history.
This group of seniors will finish with a 48-6 record after we beat LSU. This is winning percentage of .889. The 1980 senior class had a record of 44-4. That is a percentage of .916. They also won 2 championships. Both of these senior classes did an outstanding job. It depends on if you look at number of wins or the highest percentage to determine the best class ever. I also, don't think they could play as many games back then.
