Try this one:

Upward move because of Landon Collins (same HS as EL). Also 4 star Cyrus Jones from not AK's and CK's HS but Baltimore area). Big night at Under Armour game.

I don't know how many or if any of you were watching his committment last night but it was the shocker of the year for his mother. When he announced Bama was his school his mother acted as though she had been hit by a right cross from Muhammed Ali. She just starred at him and then waved her little tiger doll and said that LSU was #1 and Go Tigers. The announcers of the game almost fell out of their chairs as well, they couldn't believe he chose Bama over LSU nor could they believe the behavior of his mother. The broadcasters never left this for the rest of the game and gave Collins a lot of tv time as he showed his Mark Ingram pose with his gloves and Bama cap and celebrated his decision with the other players.

This one came out of left field and I just wonder if CNS knew this was going to happen before he declared. Needless to say, it was a huge night for the Bama program not just for the committments, but also for the game performances of the players that committed. I wish we could have gotten the kid out of Misssissippi that chose Ole Miss, he's a good one.

I'm with "First Down Alabama" on this one; How much pressure will mama put on Landon. From her reaction, I'll bet it will be relentless. We'll see.

I posted in another thread, kiddingly, that he was a Bama lock because he would probably be sick of living in that area and would want to come to T-town. Maybe I was accidentally right.

Yep, you called it.  I was almost as surprised as his mom.   ;D

The way things have gone lately with these intellectually immature signees, I am expecting at least one to de-commit before the summer.

No wonder some of them get to thinking they are "kings of the world", with all the media attention given to them before they even have one college practice session.

That being said, I firmly believe we will beat the corndogs!  Roll, Tide!

Here is a Vid of his commitment, but the audio is not good. I can't understand anything said.

I went to bed before he annouced but Wolly al on twitter had already called it.

No disrespect to the Mom, and if my son decided to play for LSU i would probably act like she did, but your son has made a decision and you should support it, maybe say congrats to him but you think LSU is better..IDK y'all would have to agree that if your kid went to a rival school it would sting at first.

But also be greatful your kid is getting a full ride somewhere just to play a game!

2008:  1st

2009:  1st

2010:  5th

Landon's father and stepmother Jamie McQuarter-Collins backed his decision. Also if you read this old article it will explain the dynamics of his extended family. I will give a big  for the stepmother!

Landon knew for 2 years where he wanted to go. He told his mother last week. She was just trying to show her buttocks on TV. BTW, who does your hair, mom? Honey Badger?

Being called #1 is great but until these young men put their John Henry on the LOI, I don't hold my breath. So many decommits this year it looks like a scrabble board. RTR!
