I grew up watching all these space missions from the start
there were only a few times I can ever remember watching TV in class
it was either when a launch was happening or just once for the World Series ...

it gives me a sinking feeling reading and watching these events nowadays knowing
it will be the last time I may ever see it again ...

I was a kid in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl when Alan Shepard was shot into space. Our class was taken outside so we could see the vapor trail over Cape Canaveral. I remember that like it was yesterday.
