Title: Chad Morris Fired After Humiliating Loss
Post by: Marshal Dillon on November 10, 2019, 06:06:12 PM
Terminations proceeding early this year. First Willie Taggart, now Chad Morris. Coming up later, Clay Helton, Joe Morehead (probably quit first), Derek Mason, & Gus Malzahn.

Quote
Arkansas has fired Chad Morris as its football coach, and tight ends coach/special-teams coordinator Barry Lunney Jr. will finish out the season as the Razorbacks' interim coach, the school announced Sunday.

In less than two seasons, Morris was just 4-18 overall since replacing Bret Bielema in December 2017 and was winless in 14 SEC games. Arkansas suffered its second embarrassing home loss of the season on Saturday in a 45-19 setback to Western Kentucky. The Hogs also lost 31-24 at home to San Jose State on Sept. 21, triggering a seven-game losing streak.

I wouldn’t’t be shocked to see Malzahn go to Arkansas. It sounds bizarre, but this is Arkansas.

I don't see Malzahn getting fired this season at this point.  Now, if the Booger-eaters were to go winless from here on out then maybe...

Are you kidding me?  There's a decent chance that Malzahn beats us and gets another extension.

(Kidding about the extension, but Auburn has a pretty good shot of beating us at home.  Malzahn's job would be quite safe if that happens)

With all the injuries and with a one legged QB I am not sure how many wins we get from here on. I know one thing CNS has taken a bunch of rookie recruits and done fairly well with them.
I ask God one time to let me live long enough to see #18 won but I didn't know it would take me 20 more years. I hope our BB team wins tonight. RTR!

How can it be a bad thing being fired by Arkansas? You get buyout money, and you get to sit around and make money off espn and life is grand. RTR!

Yes, sitting around collecting money doesn't do much for your pride.

But it still beats the heck out of getting fired from a working job.
