The main thing will be, can he recruit. Pearl could and it showed. There is almost no BB talent in Tennessee, so he better have his suitcase packed. Plus, can he survive any sanctions handed down not to mention playing UK, UF, UGA, & Vandy twice a year.

Yea but recruiting is what got Pearls job. There is the right way and if he can do that against the likes JC@KY, CAG@Bama or Fla. he will be a masterpiece. RTR!

I feel like Coach Martin is like a sheep being led to slaughter. I think he will be around long enough for the impact of the sanctions to go away and then he gets fired and they find another coach.

This is exactly the situation.  They just need someone to babysit the program until they come out on the other side of the sanctions.  I'm sure he knows what he is getting in to, and they are probably paying him enough money that he is willing to go along with it.  Plus who knows, he might actually surprise everyone and do better than expected.  It is not a good situation for a well known coach, but it does give someone like this a shot they probably wouldn't get otherwise.
