Must be a misprint, the Gus Bus is unstoppable. Just ask Colin Cowherd.

The Gus Bus took a turn onto Gene Chizik Lane.

The barn went 0-3 against the SEC to finish last year making them 1-7 in their last 8 SEC games with the lone win being a nail biter against Kentucky. They have A&M, Ole Miss, UGA and Bama still on the schedule.

Can the barn afford to pay another fired coach?

I don't know if they are totally dead or not. A&M is struggling big time & UGA is messed up at QB, too. In fact, 4 of their 5 remaining games are at home. They could sneak up with their horseshoe and win 2 or 3 more games.

pmull, I took this picture of Gene Chizik Lane while driving through Auburn for you. I can give directions if you want to go there.

I'm not sure Chech's pickem strategy would work so well in Auburn.   ???

They could possibly win 1 or 2 conference games along with the remaining cupcake so they finish with 6 or at best 7 wins. That will get them a trip to B'ham Bowl. Not exactly a good season for a preseason Top 10 team.

IMO their bowl hopes ride on the A&M game and the cupcake as long as the cupcake is not as good as Jacksonville State.

Aubs showed against Arky that they can play pretty well.  A&M struggled badly against Ole Miss.  If the 2 teams continue playing as they did Saturday, the Aubs would beat A&M.

BUT, the big question is how each team will rebound from their loss.  If the Aubs quit (and they're good at that), they'll lose the remaining SEC games.  I think A&M is the better team, and will rebound.  I wouldn't want to bet on either one!

Let's not forget about their Heisman Trophy Winner that is now riding the pine.
