"I know criticism is something you have to let go in one ear and out the other," Jones said, "but it's hard when you're constantly hearing the same things, whether it's personally or with your group, my group being the secondary."

The Crimson Tide defensive backfield's taken a beating with the way last season ended. The last three opponents ― Auburn, Missouri and Ohio State ― averaged 328 passing yards. The previous 11 accounted for just 198 per game.

"It's definitely something the secondary takes personally," Jones said. "We have a point to prove, and that's why we're going out there - and those guys out there are working hard right now to come out and try to prove their point when it's time to get back there on the field. And I know when I come back I'm going to be ready to prove all the doubters wrong. It's definitely personally to me."...

Unfortunate that players must hear and take such criticism.  Hopefully we'll win the NC this year, and all of the doubters will go back under their rocks.
