Sark really has alcohol problem. This is much bigger than football.

@SportsCenter: BREAKING: Pat Haden has asked USC coach Steve Sarkisian to take a temporary leave of absence. (via @latimes) http://t.co/aStIR534oI

Must of been another alcohol-related incident after the game. Hate this kind of stuff.

I don't see any mention of alcohol in any of the links, although it could very well be this, or maybe Haden is tired of loser coaches and plans to turn the leave of absence into "permanent."

Apparently he did not show up to practice and Hayden called him. Hayden said it was apparent he was in no condition to coach. Sad for this to happen to anyone.

Wow.  Hayden has bent over backwards.

If true, he is really bad off & needs major help. Sad stuff.

Well, this is more detailed. Awful, awful stuff.

Quote
Sarkisian was not in attendance at the Trojans' practice on Sunday afternoon. A player told ESPN's Shelley Smith via text that Sarkisian "showed up lit to meetings again today."

Sarkisian showed up Sunday morning at USC and "he appeared not normal" and then was told to leave, a source told ESPN's Brett McMurphy. "They wouldn't let him come to practice," a source said.

Quote
A source told ESPN's Joe Schad that Sarkisian seemed "very emotional" on campus at USC before missing practice and that the "unusual" behavior had really not been seen since he mixed alcohol and prescription medication at a booster event prior to the season which led to a "zombie" type feeling and slurred words.

This is getting worse by the moment. Maybe they should have stayed with Lane.

@InsideUSC: BREAKING: #USC assistants pulled Steve Sarkisian out of player huddle on sideline during Arizona State game. Believed he was not sober

I wondered about that myself a few times during the game when I caught a glimpse of him on TV.  He just seemed like he was in a fog.

Well, that stinks for him and his family.

Prayers that he gets sober and his life turns around.

I have never understood how folks get themselves into such a situation. So, so avoidable. Another life destroyed by liquor, just a total waste. Hope he can be saved. I worry about him harming himself.

The wheels are coming off at USC has started.

I just pray he will get his life turned around. I don't know what his problem is, but his career is about over and I bet Haden did this so it doesn't look like a fired QB from the past. RTR!

He is going through a bitter divorce. Hearing he has problems with alcohol and prescription drugs. Not a good combo. Awful. Pray he can turn his life around.

Look for USC to make a big push to convince Chip Kelly to be the next Trojan's Coach at the end of the NFL season.

No surprise.  With commitments looking elsewhere, and Sarc's inability to do the job, it was their only option.

What a mess at USC. Looks like no end in sight. Prayers to Sark and family that he beats this and gets back on his feet.

Remember that QB who had committed to Bama and then flipped and went to USC?  Can't remember his name.

How's USC working out for him now?

You have a bad alcohol problem when it affects your family and costs you your job. Especially when that job paid you millions of dollars. He needs to get some help.

Ricky Town. Last I heard, he was seeking a transfer.
