Title: Iron Bowl Announcers
Post by: SUPERCOACH on November 24, 2014, 11:22:51 AM
I was glad to hear the game was going to be a Saturday night game on ESPN, thinking the announcers would be Blackledge and Nessler.  Then during the Western Carolina game I heard Palmer and Musberger say they would be doing the game.  I think I would rather have the bumbling broadcasters, Verne and Gary.

  :wall: :'( >:( :( >:( >:( >:( >:(

Not me.  I'll take Jesse & Brent over Verne & Gary even though Jesse talks way too much.

I always wonder where the Exec Producer is with these over-talkative announcers.  Just tell them to shut up!

I have the best thing in the world for this kind of announcers. Turn off the TV volume and enjoy the game. Gosh it is a lot more fun and even try turning on ELI if you need a good announcer. RTR!

I had them on mute by halftime Saturday.  I always have trouble getting Eli to sync up with the video feed.

I don't mind Jesse and Mushmouth.  I just wish they would talk about the game/players involved and not get off on some wild tangent that has nothing to do with the game in progress...

That would be nice.  They went on and on Saturday about the camera man, the booth, the equipment in the booth, where everybody stood in the booth.  Meanwhile, the actual game is in a tiny window in the corner so we can see their booth.

Then I am Super Happy that I will be at the game and can listen to Eli & Phil!!  8)

The Mississippi state game was perfectly synced a couple of weeks ago, the delay during the WC game was like 10 seconds, couldnt make it work.

Will AJ and Katherine be there?  Brent might not say a word about the game if she is.

The only up-side to that would be that we would get to look at her many times throughout the game...  8)

You can be our game correspondent.  #+

FWIW, they sell radios outside the stadium for $20. You would be listening to the Eli Gold play-by-play.

Might be interesting to watch the game on the SEC network, with Finebaum and Greg McElroy.  There will be phone call ins during the game.   :dunno:
