Talk about life being put in perspective. Suddenly, football ain't so important.

Quote
"Probably the worst 12 hours of my life but I know my family will push through. Keep my dad in your prayers please," Murray tweeted.

This was after Murray returned to Georgia to find his home egged and rolled with toilet paper following the Bulldogs' 35-7 loss to South Carolina. Murray played the worst game of his season, completing just 11 of 31 passes for 109 yards and one interception.

The trees are dead and so is the football program at Auburn. They should be rolling the Chiz's house. But then again, Georgia is always one upping the barn.

In the passionate world of sports, it's sometimes easy to forget that athletes are people, too.
So when Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray revealed on Twitter this last weekend that his father had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and was undergoing surgery Monday morning, it put Murray's poor performance against South Carolina last week into perspective.

Prayers to the Murray family.  Pray

Football is just a game. When a family crisis hits you realize what is really important to you. Prayers to the Murray family.

UGA was exposed in the Tenn game. Tenn is not that good and UGA was lucky to get that win. USCe was the better team Saturday. Murray had a huge burden and a heavy heart but he was not going to beat USCe on that day under any conditions.

And, regardless of his father's cancer, SHAME on the people who egged and rolled his house as if he was the reason they lost a football game.  That loss was a total team effort from CMR all the way down to the waterboy.  I doubt if Joe Namath in his prime could have led Georgia to a win over South Carolina last Saturday.

I must say prayers to the Murray family but also may God Bless them with the healing of forgiveness to their sick brothers and sisters in the world. I see sportsmanship was never taught in Georgia. RTR!
