Good morning folks.  I decided to take a day off work today for a "mental health" day... I'm actually going to be working on rebuilding an old horse drawn wagon for one of my brothers.

How's our buddy Abel today?
Runt started school yesterday.  He is still the same though.  He isn't hurting or feeling badly, just has bloody diarrhea all the time.  He and James Edward have been begging me to take them fishing in Mrs. Nalt's brother's pond all week... We are still waiting to hear when we are to take him to the gastroenterologist.  I figure until we do nothing will change.

No matter Mrs Dottie and I are lifting you all up in prayer every day. Jesus has the answer and he will do it. RTR!
Mrs. Nalt just told me that we now have an appointment with the gastroenterologist on August 23... Seems like a long time to have to wait.  Especially if we can't get that diarrhea under control...

That's one of the problems with healthcare, NALT. Insurance companies want to "manage" care as much as possible to keep the cost of healthcare down, but most specialists have a heavy patient load, and it's rare to get an appointment within a reasonable time. So, what happens is that people are forced to go to the emergency room, which is the highest cost there is in healthcare.

Good morning. Coffee

Spent the day relaxing with family, then watched the Olympics. Can't say the opening ceremonies were great!  Lots of color and lights, but none of the originality seen when China hosted. Maybe the games will be better.

Mrs 2 and I felt the same way, but like you said, the games should be exciting.

Looks like we might get a break in the weather today. Lord at the storms we've been having! I hope we do get that break since I will be masterfully wielding my mashie niblick.  Cheesy

Did anybody see the Samba dancers during the opening ceremonies last night?  WOW!  Those Brazilian ladies don't believe in wearing clothes do they?  Shocked

Good morning, all.

Hope everyone is well, Abel is better too, and you have a good day.

We went to a Durham Bulls game last night.  IT WAS HOT, SWEATY, AND HUMID.  Durham got a home run from its first batter, and quickly went up 7-0.  The opposing pitcher got overheated, and started vomiting on the mound.  We left after a few innings.

Last night at the ball park.

Good morning Chech, 2Stater, Preacher and anyone else that might read this thread.  We had a really fun day yesterday despite the fact we spent it in Birmingham.  We decided to take the kids to the Birmingham Zoo and Vulcan Park.  Aside from the shear height of Vulcan everyone really enjoyed the entire day.  Adam could not stand being on the platform toward the top of the Vulcan.  If he had had the problem that Abel has had the last 3 weeks then that would have cured it for him...    Abel is still the same.  While we were in Birmingham he had to "go" three times... two of those times were bloody and runny.  Sorry to be so graphic... Thanks again to everyone that has shown so much concern and for your prayers.

Which one is Kevin Costner?

Was very hot here too, yesterday, My mashie niblick really let me down. We had steak last night, though, so it wasn't a complete failure.

Don't you worry about being graphic sometimes we need that to remind us how well we have it. I have the faith of a small mustard seed that the Lord will heal Abel and you know what Jesus said he we have that small amount of Faith. We got here yesterday again and the grass is looking greener. Sure going to be a beautiful day. I didn't sleep much last night I was sitting on the front porch in my rocking chair at 1:10 AM and then at 3:20 AM just me and my cat. He wasn't worried about my back he just needed his head rubbed real bad. lol. I hope you all have a great Sunday Service and btw NALT Mrs Dottie and I are putting Abel on our prayer list at Church today. Sorry we didn't do it sooner. God Bless everybody. RTR!

We're back on the road for home this morning, albeit after a few bugs and pancakes.

My buddy who had surgery is recovering. Thanks for prayers.

Safe travels, Chech. I'm back on the road this morning, as well. Busy week in Greenville.

We won some medals last night. Phelps won his 19th gold.  Applause E-Cred

Good morning and safe travels to all of y'all that are on the roads today... It was nice to see two swimming world records broken last night.  One by a British guy and the other by a USA woman that broke her own record going away...
