Great win tonight for the Tide!

Maybe this wake up call is exactly what the team needed to get ready for the booger eaters.

We seemed to have done everything we could to lose this game. The D was uninspired for much of the game, but came through when it counted. We thought before the season started that there may be games where we had to depend on the offense. We did tonight in spite of the fact that Miss St had a great game plan and stopped us often.

Having said that, we will have to play much, much better to beat the barn. I hope this game woke the team up and got their attention. They have 2 weeks to heal and prepare before they play the barn.

I think I am more relieved than happy tonight, but it beats the heck out of the disappointment of losing.

Agree. The defense will have to play better against Auburn. I'm not worried about Bama's performance in that game as much as I am that Auburn is having one of those Auburn years where they get things going and ride a wave of emotion to an Iron Bowl win.

Amen.
Glad to see that Da'Shawn Hand was able to play, as was Jacobs.  Both are special players who can dominate their positions.  What a weapon Jacobs was during the 4th quarter!

That said, we need someone to help in the gap left when Hamilton was injured.  Holcombe seemed to struggle the entire game.

Especially since the Golden Horseshoe is presently being dislodged from Brian Kelly's..er...possession, and we know not where it will end up.

Apparently it ended up in Jacobs' arse tonight!

Looks like Mark Richt has a firm grasp on it.

You have to give MS State some credit.

When they dominated LSU, I said that they could be our toughest game this season.  Then they lost easily to Georgia and Auburn, and all talk of State was forgotten.

But Bama got State's best shot tonight.  They schemed to Bama's weakness (usually a strength) of a depleted LB corp., and they executed their game plan flawlessly until they ran out of steam.  (They even knew that would be an issue and tried to run as much clock as they could).

Bama has a week to rest up, play Mercer, and then there will be an All Out War in the Iron Bowl.  May the best Bama team win.

Richt belongs at Miami.  He's a complete different coach there, relaxed, just got back from the boat.

He probably already had the horseshoe, when Miami squeaked out consecutive come from behind wins against FSU and GA Tech earlier in the season.

We haven't had a game like this in a while.  It was a test of the team's character and they showed great character to hang in there in a hostile environment and come out with a big win on a day when #1 and #3 teams lost.

Have to say Jalen won me over tonight.  He made some big plays especially pass completions when we absolutely had to have them. OL seriously sucked all night. Can't run off guard or really between the tackles. That's what worries me most about IB.  I don't know why with such an aggressive pass rush we didn't run any screens.

Too many mistakes on D but in the 4th qtr they came through when it had to be.

IB will be a war.  Brace yourselves...

If we can quit dropping passes and play our position on defense we would be hard for anybody to beat. I hate to say this but in all fairness auburn would have beat us tonight. RTR!
