Absolutely.  Do you want to send it directly to his church?  Or do you want to bundle it in with what we are collecting, which we are going to give directly to him?  It makes no difference to me... whatever is easiest for you.

I have to wait for my next check. Right now I'm on fixed money but I would like to donate. RTR!

But while trying to stay humble, I sort of respectfully decline the added e-cred "points" you offered.

He doesn't seem to be on line now, but I want to respond.  I know how you feel.  I wanted to donate, but it would be obvious if I did and obvious if I didn't (with the totals posted).  These e-creds are just for fun, and I gave you one for this gesture (above).  

Because the cred totals are listed, it unfortunately makes these donations transparent.  Thus, they probably shouldn't be used in this way.  I think SuperCoach was just trying to applaud everyone's generosity.

SC - this was truly a magnanimous gesture on your part to award e-creds for a donation.  I shouldn't really offer any advice or opinions, but personally, I don't feel right accepting those "points" for what is merely doing the right, and compassionate thing for Dad.

I know it was used as a motivating factor, but I sort of feel the good people here will donate regardless of the e-creds.  As Chechem so aptly put, they're just for fun.

But, that being said, since you've put the process in motion, perhaps it's better left the way it is now.  People can post or email you if they wish to only donate, and forego the e-credits.  If they wish them, that's perfectly fine too.

I am having some trouble matching up the e-mail address used with paypal to the screen name over here in some cases.  So how about this:  I won't award any more e-creds unless you notify me via a PM that you would like them.  And if I already gave them to you and you don't want them, let me know and I can take them back off.

Perfect solution.  My paypal email address is different (I think??) from the one I registered here.  That may account for you're being unable to match some of them up.

Yep, the different e-mail addresses were the issue.

I will say that this is by far the most civil and respectful group of people I have ever encountered on the internet.

Yes, unfortunately you are going to have to do it the hard way if you want to do it.  If a troll ever comes in here and accuses me of gaming the e-cred because I am an administrator I want to be able to say that I have never given myself e-cred except for the times that I ran an automated process that gave e-cred to the entire board.
