At one time back in the 1960's I had the whole Yankees team. I had a big cardboard box full of baseball cards full. I had the Orioles players a lot of other Hank Aaron and Roger Maris. My grandmother wanted the box for packing so I trashed all the cards, I just wonder how many dollars I trashed at that time not knowing the future value. RTR!
My Dad has a Willie Mays card that would be worth about $25k in mint condition. His is more like a 7/10 condition (which means it's still in very good condition), and it takes the value down to more like $600. It's amazing how much the smallest little flaw will deflate the value. Sometimes the cards are in PERFECT condition, and the flaw is from the printer. A lot of them back then were printed a little off center, and that decreases the value.
