Howdy folks.  This has been a cold spell to rival most other cold spells around here for the last long time.

Fortunately, I have not had to be out in the cold.  Unfortunately, that is because Saturday morning I tested positive for the Cold with good marketing, i.e. Covid.  I feel alright for the most part.  Just a stuffy head mostly.  I'll be aight so I'm not worried.

From a local "hobby" meteorologist,

Tired of the cold/snow/sleet/ice?  No problem!  Temperatures in the
mid 40s today, 50s tomorrow, then 60s for the rest of the week.

The price?  A very wet period is in store for the TN Valley as several
systems move through and tap into abundant Gulf moisture.

NWS HSV is saying showers/thundershowers and maybe some thunderstorms
will bring 3" - 5" of rain, beginning tonight through Friday and into
Saturday.  Some areas may see 5+" of rain, if storms train.

With frozen ground, water will likely pool/pond/runoff for a while
until the ground thaws.  Could very easily see some areal/flash
flooding, particularly in those areas subject to such.

No severe weather expected at this time - just very wet.  Could hear
some thunder and see some gusty winds here and there, but mostly just
wet.

Will continue to monitor the situation and advise if warranted.

Bottom line: Take off the skis and strap on the pontoons!

Thanks Preacher, but really, I am fine.  This version of the China virus is nothing more than a bad cold with a great marketing agent.  That is, as long as there are no underlying health issues that can complicate it.  I don't.  I'll be going back to the office on Thursday.

Howdy folks.  The rain the weather guessers had been saying we would be getting has finally arrived.  It has been raining off and on most of the day; mostly on.

And even though the temperature is much warmer than the past couple of weeks, I feel a lot colder today for some reason.
