Good morning, all.  

FULL CREDIT AND E-CRED TO RICKY.  Looks like his prayers are keeping this storm offshore.  It's skirting the coast, and not expected to come inland (despite knuckleheads on every channel predicting a "direct hit at 140 mph expected for _____").  Some said Ft Pierce, some said Cape Canaveral, some Jacksonville.  They were all wrong.  It looks like it's max winds are 120mph and the entire eyewall is staying off the coast.  Plenty bad at 75mph along Florida, but nothing like it might have been.

Lots of chatter on Finebaum following the postponement of the LSU game at Florida.  It has not been rescheduled (yet), and there doesn't appear to be a good time to play it without affecting BIG games otherwise (LSU-A&M; UF-FSU).

Lots of LSU fans and some Bama fans complaining, saying their teams wouldn't have postponed it, or would have accepted LSU's offer to have it played in Baton Rouge.  WHAT NOBODY IS DISCUSSING IS THE IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION OF GETTING FLORIDA'S TEAM TO THE TAMPA AIRPORT TODAY OR TOMORROW HAD IT BEEN MOVED, THE LSU TEAM INTO GAINESVILLE HAD IT NOT MOVED, AND THE WONDERFUL NEWS THAT MANY MOTEL ROOMS WILL NOW BE AVAILABLE (in Gainesville) WHERE THOUSANDS - MAYBE HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS - OF PEOPLE ARE SEEKING SHELTER AFTER LEAVING SOUTHERN FLORIDA.

Now I've vented.  What say you?

Travel either direction would have been a huge challenge.  Interstates were clogged, flights cancelled.

Why the Tampa airport?

Glad things are going as well as it can be under the circumstances. Still pray for safety of all the people. Hate to see unnecessary death and pain for families already going through turmoil. Thank you JESUS for hearing and answering. You are so special.
Nice morning here except my back. lol, Man there is a beautiful pair of Black and Tan pups came up to me yesterday at my mailbox. Don't know where or they belong to, but we had to feed and water them they were so hungry. Only about 3 to 4 months I would say. Sure hope I can find the owner. Well yall have a safe day all the kids are going to be OK everybody and be safe. RTR!

My kids in Broward County missed the worst of it, thank goodness. Praying for my nephew and his family in Vero now.

Brethren yall better get this thing right. I didn't have nothing to do with it. Jesus is the one who guides the storms and all things. We need to learn this sooner than later because I can do nothing but spute out a few words. God Bless. RTR!

I just notice on TWC they have a tornado warning for a GA and Fla county. Must be getting more north, praying it will ease down but that twist and coming back is what I am worried about because Fla already has all the water it can handle. If this thing reenters the land in Fla they will be in a mess sure enough. RTR!

Someone from Gainesville who was connected with UF was talking on Sirius radio yesterday.  He was explaining all of the options.  He said the UF team would have had to fly from Tampa if they had accepted LSU's offer of playing in Baton Rouge.  Don't know the reasons.

Are these people really this stupid??  A direct hit?  Have they even looked at the hurricane track?

BTW, likely that it'll turn off before reaching Myrtle Beach.  But the reporters keep hoping.  Right now only one of the 8 models shows it hitting MB.

I just wanted to erase the political comments.
