Title: 'Little House on the Prairie': Where are they now?
Post by: Jamos on May 10, 2014, 08:54:06 AM
This show was a favorite around our house as the kids grew up, lots of good memories during those years of all of us lounging around together. The Waltons was another favorite as well. :D

They don't even try to make good TV shows like those any more.

It is hard to remember a time when the worst thing on TV was mean ol' Nellie Olson.

This was a time of Peace that we didn't realize we would never see again. I still watch older shows when I can. I use to know the Words to the Beverly Hillbillies and Andy Griffith. lol, RTR!

I was never a fan of Little House on the Prairie or The Waltons. I was more of a Gunsmoke and Bonanza guy.

I watched Little House b/c I had a crush on Melissa Sue Anderson. Of course, I was 7 or 8, so what did I know.

I always though anyone who watched Little House on the Prairie was gay. At least CB was interested in a girl.

The Beverly Hillbillies was great. Jed had home spun wisdom you couldn't beat:

"That girl's so skinny, you couldn't hit her with a hand full of corn."

And when Miss Jane told him to tip the valet, he leaned over and said to him "Plant your corn early this year."

Nobody could do corn humor like Jed Clampett.  :lol2:

Loved The Walton's growing up and still do.  Mrs. Nalt and I have actually been to a couple of Walton's cast reunions.  We went to Burbank, CA last year for their 40th reunion and got to meet most of the cast.  Great folks.  This year we did it again but this time it was in Virginia where Walt Hammer grew up.  Good stuff...

My Mom would watch The Waltons all day if she could, assuming she could keep away from HGTV.

Like pmull, I'm more of a Gunsmoke and Bonanza guy.

I saw on NCIS Tuesday that Ralph Waite had died. He was John Walton. RTR!

Even though it was before my time, I grew up watching reruns of The Rifleman. Loved Chuck Conners.

I liked Chuck Conners Lucas McCain too. His son was named Mark. One of my favorite Westerns.

The Lawman was one of my favorites. Peter Brown played his deputy. Then also, Sugarfoot and Lone Ranger. RTR!
