This is somewhat disturbing.

Looks like this is the same link to the CAM "36 on a board" article.

I was concerned after reading the article, but then I read the comments.  It sounds like Brooks is just trying to stir the pot.  This is probably a rental property.  This comment by Jack L sums it up pretty nicely I think:

Quote
The guy is a landlord or at least that is what he says. Presumably when he said his house had been paid off for 15 years, he was referring to his permanent residence and not a rental property. Now if this turns out to be his permanent resident, then I agree there is a disconnect in his story. My guess though is that this is a rental property and this story is and continues to be nothing. Can you show the address which would certainly be in this public record? It doesn’t matter I guess I am sure some other reporter will look it up tomorrow and have an answer.

Disconnect or not, the supposed booster has flat out denied every meaningful allegation publicly asking for any proof, of which this constitutes none. It can’t even be proved that he provided Winston or Calloway with anything meaningful, less a trip to sit in a hotel room in Pensacola, FL for a few days. So we are supposed to believe that trip was illegal because he actually has been secretly making friends through church with Calloway and family for over 5 years to send him to UA with a trip to Pensacola as the kicker. Nobody is stupid enough to really believe that.

I'll be very interested if this turns out to be a rental or the primary residence. If it's a rental, it makes Winston look even better.

Yep, and the accusers look even more corrupt.  It is very easy for them to know if it was a rental or not.  Whoever looked up the mortgage knows the address of the property.  I'm sure that it is not his primary residence or that would have been reported.  They conveniently leave that part off to make it look like he lied about his mortgage being paid off for 15 years.  Given the other posts by Brooks about "play 36" and the "Grand Marshal", I wonder if he knows it is a rental property and he is setting them up to look dumb when he releases that part tomorrow.

Suttles replied to this with a Twitter post. Referring to brooks article (also on his Facebook) Suttle said "Unfollow". Story garbage.

Yeah, but you can't sound like Chiznik and just all something garbage without more detail. If it's a rental, that needs to be verified.

The Tax Assessor's Office will check to see if a name is on the property tax rolls and give the address.

Ahem, Russellville Native here...
and Peaches' house has been paid off for 15 years and he has FOUR rental properties.  Sorry if the racist Aubs cannot fathom a black man who is a stand up member of his community.  I've never heard anything bad about Peaches and Russellville is small and people like to talk in small towns.  This man is no Cecil 2.0 as much as the Aubs would like.  I will be happy to rehash what Peaches said about the Auburn recruitment if anyone needs a recap from what was said on Tide Sports!

The Barners will not be able to comprehend a black man being successful on his own without booster money. Auburn has been called a plantation more than once over the years.

Wow, somebody has something to keep stirring don't they? If I was JL, I would be worried about Auburn rather than Alabama. RTR!

The property records are easy to check IF they're online, like they are in more-populated counties.

In this case, Franklin County's records aren't online.  So, to truly figure out what Peaches owns and whether or not it's paid off, you'd have to go to the courthouse and start physically searching through the plat books, something I wouldn't expect Brooks to do.

If I was the Birmingham News editor, I'd make Scarbinsky walk to Russellville to do the checking.  But that's just me.   :D
