Quote
#5 A.J. McCarron

Year: Junior

2011 Stats: 219-328 (66.8%) 16 TD, 5 INT

Well, Year One of McCarron as Alabama's starter went well, right? The Tide captured the national title and McCarron was the offensive MVP of the BCS National Championship Game, where he faced a tough LSU defense. His numbers in that game told the story of the season: 234 yards passing without a TD or an interception.

McCarron managed the game - we mean that in a good way - and allowed 'Bama to lean on its defense and star running back Trent Richardson. But in 2012, we expect the Tide to extend the leash on McCarron, who has proven himself an instant winner and has the tools to do it with bigger numbers.

Kiehl Frazier #8? I thought he was the 2nd coming of Scam Newton. Also, I can't believe he ranked Franklin and Bray ahead of AJ and even Murray for that matter. Franklin's stock will go down as soon as he plays an SEC opponent. Bray's nothing more than a gunslinger and I've always thought Murray was overrated.

I was surprised how low UF qb was rated and can't wait to see how those exBig 12 qbs do in the SEC.

Driskel will have to prove himself I think. I know he was playing as a true freshman last year, but he sure didn't show much.

He was doing pretty well against Bama until he got hurt.

Wasn't that Brantley that CU broke?

I am sorry, you are correct.

But you're right, Brantley was having a pretty good game until then.

I think Brantley was out for the season, but Driskel also was banged up in that game as well, and the third string QB played at LSU.  But  Brantley looked OK v. Bama, Driskel was a deer in the headlights.

I was really trying to figure out who could have been better than AJ but I think they got it about right. The #1 guy from Arkansas is true. He is great and this year will prove whether  he is or he ain't a good player. RTR!

Gees, AJ, you'd better keep working on improvement.  You won a NC and a MVP trophy; now you've got to get better than the rest of the SEC.
