Can't believe I'm saying this but the ACC is interesting this year. Had about 4 games I wanted to see, a couple teams(but not their games) I wanted to see. And then there is always the hope that the Domers will get embarrassed again.

So far, so good.

I think SuperCoach (and CP) have it at least half right. This is the week we leave our foe on the schneid. Emma sneak under CP for the win. 46-0

I saw that and cracked completely up. It would be different if she wasn't paying attention. I/t was a very long kick, so no blame could be assigned to her. But she scooted up to catch it, on her knees, and apparently holding something in her hand. She was either supremely over confident or supremely stupid, or as often is the case, both.

, absolutely nothing.

Say it again. Love, Edwin Starr

After my fourth pick I was left with the "how low can they go" games - FLA, GA, LSU, Domers, etc..

Wow! I don't think I'd ever won before. Now twice in four games.
38  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: OTHER GAMES: on: September 25, 2016, 07:21:51 AM
The aTm/Arkansas game is epic.  Both of these guys are going to be tough to beat.

Thought the same thing Coach. They have lots of explosive plays, and they were flying around the field and hitting HARD. We are going to have to take it up a couple of notches if we expect to survive our upcoming road trips. I especially don't like the way the Vols experienced a complete re-birth at half time. We are gonna need 60 minutes of everyone's best football if these teams keep this up.

Meltdown Thread

It's a good week when both our win and Auburn's loss is featured. Not the best week for clever, but there is plenty of pathetic self-loathing to enjoy. The ND fans will the prize there. Enjoy.
40  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: *** Predict the Score: Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Ole Miss Rebels *** on: September 18, 2016, 11:08:44 AM
For a minute there I thought I had come closest, but I can seen that my simple numerical advantage pales against the predictions of others that captured many levels of psychological and numerological nuance. I should be ashamed of myself.

But seriously, this played out like I feared it would. Kelly is a baller. That boy looks like Sunday afternoons to me. And as the CBS graphic points out, we only lose when a great QB has a great game against us. The balls he delivered when he had anytime at all were figuratively in a bread box. And his tall and seasoned receivers knew just what to do with him. Had he not made either of the two errors, which luckily for us resulted in TDs, we'd be sitting on 2-1. Not taking anything away from the lads, but at least offensively, they were the better team.

Looking toward the future, Mr. Hurt will not being leaving those receptions for TDs on the field as he did yesterday. For a true freshman, the young man did an outstanding job and showed just the type of mental toughness we need.
41  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: If OM Can't Beat Bama, Who Can? on: September 18, 2016, 11:00:10 AM
To add to the collective angst of the CFB world, many of the guys who are in key roles for us, are only freshman and sophomores. There will be no talk this year that next year will be better because Bama will lose its key guys to the pros. If we scare you this year folks, just wait.

Clemson beat the booger eaters last night in a relatively close game.  My question:  Are the booger eaters that good or has Clemson dropped off that much?

Clemson is still sore about losing the Natty, so they let Auburn score late just to piss off many of us on this board by not covering the spread.

45  Around Campus / The Quad / Re: Are We Overconfident?? on: September 04, 2016, 12:24:33 PM
We may indeed have been overconfident, but got away with it. I hate to be a bad winner, but USCw really stunk pretty badly last night. If we believe that we trounced a real top 25 team, and we note the faltering performances of our SEC West competitors, we could easy delude ourselves into thinking the rest of the season will be a cake walk. Good for coach for highlighting out poor first half play and setting a serious tone about improving (as he always has).
