Iowa State game today

OK, I was in Memphis this weekend, and it was overrun by Iowa State Fans.  They were everywhere.  Beale Street was a wave of cardinal and gold.  Sun Records, the same.  Central BBQ? Yep.  I didn't realize that this team travelled so well.  Watch the game today, and I bet you won't see much of that aweful Tulsa royal blue.

Anyway, I have to root for them.  Not only did they take out OkState last year, and dump Chizik on the Barn, but they are actually serious about their football.

Well, at least they are serious about travelling south in the winter and partying in Memphis.  That's enough for me.

For what it's worth, I was in NYC last year and they were everywhere. I tried to thank each of them personally but the task was overwhelming. They were there for the pinstripe bowl, and trust me, they weren't there for the sunny climes.

Looking at the stands, it was all Iowa State.  Too bad their team couldn't do it for them.

Maybe I should have converted them all to Bama fans.  (never would have happened) 

My wife did Roll Tide two guys wearing Notre Dame jackets, but they were not up for it.  I think they are scared.
