Ohio State deserves to be in top four
It’s certainly not going to make every college football fan happy, but the committee’s decision to rank Alabama and Oregon -- both with a loss on their résumé -- ahead of Florida State shows it's willing to consider context that was often lacking in the polls used to compute the BCS.

On sheer record, Florida State is the obvious No. 1 team in the nation by virtue of being the last undefeated Power 5 conference team. But the committee is considering the quality of wins, the toughness of schedule, the circumstances involved in each game and a host of other metrics when parsing the cases for each team.

The difference is that Ohio State’s stumble at home to Virginia Tech in Week 2 looms large, and is the biggest reason the Buckeyes are No. 6 in the poll.

tosu plays a silly schedule at best and they want to talk about playoffs? Playoffs? I remember Coach Jim Mora, lol. He may have been coaching at tosu the 2nd week games. Bring that silly football team and let them play 2 SEC games a year and she if they can win one of them. RTR!

I just don't see their case!!

EVERYONE knows that their case hinges on 50% of sports writers being from the NE and Midwest, plus 90% of the country has SEC fatigue.  Simple as that!  They want a Big-10 team in the playoffs (so it will happen if they keep winning).

Bias for a team or conference will never change with people doing the evaluating of teams. I would rather have the computer do the selections.

I totally agree. I know the BCS poll wasn't perfect but it sure put the teams that needed to be up front it got them very, very, close. RTR!

You on jar #5?

Computers use numbers.  How could you eliminate the high-scoring nonsense, or reward wins at tough away games?

I know it's numbers but is that worse than biased opinions?
