After five weeks of games, the College Football Computer Composite rankings have identified a seven-team class that represents the top tier of the Football Bowl Subdivision.
The five former Bowl Championship Series computers that combine to make the CFCC see a clear break between Alabama, Florida State, Oregon, Auburn, Oklahoma, UCLA and Texas A&M in that order and the rest of the FBS. The gap between A&M and No. 8 Baylor is by far the largest separating any two teams in the latest CFCC, which was calculated after Week 5's games.
The top seven teams are ranked in the top 10 of each of the five computers.
