UF 64-53. 7:00 minutes left. Hanging in there but we must hit some shots and rebound.

Yes, sir MD you and I are watching the same game. It almost looks like if they shut down Releford then the rest of the team they are not worried about. RTR!

Releford had 16 points in 1st half, 7 in the 2nd. UF has FIVE players who have scored in double figures, we have 1, Releford. Tide hanging tough, UF 74-67 but we let UF get rebounds on missed shots. 1:12 left

We played hard and never gave up. Florida is just too deep for us. They had all 5 starters in double figures and production off the bench. They played like the #3 team today. They have a chance to make a very deep run in the tournament.

We have Ole miss at home and South Carolina in Columbia next week. We can win both of those games.

I agree, but we have to rebound & move the ball around. UF had 23 assists, we had 13, which actually a good number for us for a change. Ole Miss game will be interesting.

I didn't read all the post, but one of the turning points I thought was on a drive by Bama and the player was clearly fouled but there was not call.

There's been a lot of that in games of late. Bama was hacked to death at Arky, but fouls were seldom called.

That has plagued Bama for a long time. These bad calls and no calls seem to happen at very critical times for the team. Bama has no home court advantage when it comes down to the refs.

I don't understand college basketball rules anymore. A touch foul on the perimeter is an automatic foul and but you can beat a guy up driving to the basket. When both players end up on the floor due to contact it has to be a foul IMO.

Three turning points in the game:
1. After playing a good first half we allow UF to go on a 20-8 run to open the 2nd half.
2. Down by 10 we get a stop and do not score. UF goes down the floor and hits a three pointer. They get a steal on the in bound pass and get a easy layup. Instead of cutting the UF lead to single digits at 8 the lead swells to 15.
3.Late in the game we cut the UF lead to 7. We get a steal and Obasohan throws a bad pass to Releford who was streaking for a wide open layup. If Obasohan makes a good throw we cut the lead to 5 with under 3 minutes to play.

Pretty much the story of the year. We are not a deep team and it shows at the end of games. Fatigue mistakes? Likely, I think.

Point one is the killer. It seems that every game the team lets the opponent make a big run on them either at the start of the game or after halftime. Anytime you have to make up that many points it just kills the run that Bama makes because it's only to catch up and not to increase a lead. There have been a few times when Bama had a good lead at half only to give it up immediately.

What Billy D has at Florida this year shows you that he is the key piece of the Fla coaching staff.  Everybody thought Grant was such a key guy on that staff as far as recuiting and working on the Defensive end.  Well....the gators don't seem to be hurting with talent and they lead the SEC in Defense.  Maybe we should get somebody else from their staff!!!
