one of my best friends did something like this not so very long ago he had a good career/ masters degree and like you wanted to be his own boss it was a little tough starting out but he survived several obstacles the big purchases of equipment , the licenses , insurance cost and even the oil spill ... he is doing great with it ... so will you !
