A tragedy, but a common tragedy. We should be outraged, but not shocked. When the dust settles this young man will be only one of a dozen or more young people who died of a gunshot wound yesterday.

Sounds like an apartment complex to avoid!  WTH?

Such a senseless tragedy.  It truly is sad that kids cant figure out before it is too late that if they hang around the garbage dump their gonna get trash all over them...

This type of tragedy seems to happen way to often down on the farm. I wonder what the players and recruits mean when they describe the feeling at Auburn as being like family?

Jesus take over this family and strengthen them in the time of their pain. I can't but wonder what will in the way of riots or such. I pray it doesn't but these young kids die and some are forgotten and some are used to others on TV or get them Glamour they think. This is not glamour it is a tragedy of our times. RTR!

I noticed the same comment about getting out of town. That can be taken in different ways, but right now the whole thing is confusing. Was he killed by a stranger after trash talking, over a girl, or what?

Found a little bit more info. Check out the pictures of the player and the suspect. One looks like a clean-cut kid, the other looks like a thug. Amazing.

I made a statement about a national issue, black on black deaths, because of the Auburn football player and this makes you mad? My comment was based solely on the statistics that are provided and discussed almost on a daily basis on the national news networks. I don't understand why the white on black deaths are treated so differently than the black on black deaths, someone has died in both cases and should be treated equally and must be stopped. I guess I vehemently disagree with your opinion as well.

Let's keep this simple:

1.  I was simply trying to keep the thread discussion on the topic intended;

2.  We won't solve this issue herein;

3.  It's Christmas.  A family lost a son.

Honestly, I don't think anyone was talking about your post, including Jamos, but the other poster who made a questionable overreaching statement. Plus, no one is making any negative comments about the poor kid who was murdered. A family losing their son in such circumstances is tragic 365 days a year.

They need to shut that place down.

This opens up some troubling questions, such as (1) why was this young freshman at such a place, (2) are other Auburn players hanging out at this place, (3) and what is going on there, like drug activity? Very disturbing.
