Hey, I just report what I see.  This is from CNN.  Not the Enquirer.

Just....weird.   Huh?

I can't imagine any physician agreeing to such a procedure at her age.

I say….So What….if they want to do this.  Cheesy  It’s their business.

There is no Gabor heir to carry on the name.
“One reason is their desire to have someone carry on the famous Gabor name. None of her two sisters left an heir and her only child does not use the Gabor name, von Anhalt said.”

Zsa Zsa won’t be carrying the baby herself.
“The process includes finding an egg donor and a surrogate mother to give birth to the baby.”

Zsa Zsa’s husband wants a child…he’s old….needs something to live for.  Of course, he is 67, and close family members may have to take over (in a few years) with bringing up the child.
"In life you need something to live for," the prince said. "If my wife passes away before me, I have nothing to live for."

I hear you, but it sounds a little selfish to me.  The baby won't have her DNA.  Why not just adopt a teenager that maybe already lost their parents?  They might grow up before she passes away, instead of bring a new child into the world that will most certainly grow up without a mother and quite likely a father.

JMO, but of course it is none of my business.

I didn't think about that Ricky.   Good point. Cheesy

Except I have always questioned that some people really lived as long as the Bible says they did.  Methuselah was reported to have lived 969 years.
wasn't he?

I agree with you Coach....and was thinking that Zsa Zsa's DNA would be implanted in a surrogate mother.  I see my mistake now....an egg donor not...Zsa Zsa's.

You're right.  None of our business.

But I still think it's silly and a bit pathetic.  If the main crux is a "Gabor name", right on.  Adopt.

Wasn't she admitted into a hospital following the recent deaths of Jane Russell and another actress (whose name I can't remember at the moment)?

She was convinced she was going to be the successive "third" in celebrity deaths.

Yeah, I think she is too old to have an egg of her own to use.  It might be his DNA though, I don't think the article specified where the male DNA would come from.

I'm sure some of y'all read recently about the poor guy who mistook glue for eye drops?  That was the "Prince." Sad

A little gossip....the "Prince" was a former masseur and German socialite before marriage to Gabor.  It is written that he was adopted by a royal lady after he grew up and claimed to have been best friends with her deceased son.

Oh....the eye drops and this...he is reportedly not too smart.
(I read about it once but can only find it in Wikipedia now).

"On July 25, 2007, Prinz von Anhalt was allegedly approached by three women he described as attractive while sitting in his Rolls-Royce in Southern California. They asked him to pose for pictures with them, at which point one of the women robbed him at gunpoint, taking his car keys, jewelry, wallet, driver's license and all his clothes. According to Prinz von Anhalt, his assailants bound him and placed him in handcuffs, yet he managed to call the authorities on a cellular phone. Los Angeles police found him completely naked approximately one hour later. No handcuffs were found at the scene. The culprits apparently drove away in a Chrysler convertible."
