When these players have their mind set on play fundamental sound football they are hard to beat. When they have the mind set to send one of their own brothers home because he does not have the mind set that he should to be with this group of guys and play in the special ceremonies they are playing in it is hard to beat them. I saw CNS say to the announcer that we have 24 hours to enjoy this one and then it is time to get ready for another great game for all the honors and championship, these men are hard to beat. This was as dominating a performance by a Bama team in a post season game as I have ever seen...and I've seen a few in my lifetime.  MSU was NEVER in the game.  Never.  This outcome has to give Clemson some pause.

Congrats to the players and coaches.

CUM better thank God that OSU did not make it back to this game or we would have put him out of football for good.  They would have been totally destroyed, even worse than MSU.

It's hard to choose between this game and January 9, 2012.  That LSU team was one of the best teams in recent college history, much better than Michigan State this year, and Bama didn't let them across the 50 yard line until the fourth quarter.  Both performances were dominant. 

This Bama team started a little rocky, but has reached the level the '11 and '12 teams maintained for most of their seasons.  The defense is as dominant as the best Bama defenses of my lifetime.  The offense has really come together.  Anything can happen in the championship game, but I really have the feeling that Bama is going to roll right over Clemson.     

The one thing about most of our games played is the fact that, we always get to play the best team who bring their very best against us. When we win usually people don't it such as:( Kanell, and Halloway or whatever). To win another Championship at this time would need no further discussion of dynasty because it is expected of the Alabama football teams every year. RTR!

Indeed, this is the best Alabama defense of Saban's career.  Even without a shut-down corner, this defense controls the game.  They've given up just a handful of rushing yards over the past 3 games: Aubs, SECCG, and MSU.  NOBODY has success rushing against them with a traditional offense, and that leads to sacks and interceptions.

Clemson's Watson is a great player, and will be a problem.  Let's enjoy the challenge and watch the 16th National Championship unfold!

One thing I'll give Clemson credit for is their defense.  From what I saw yesterday, Dabo has built a team that is tough in the trenches and plays very good defense.  They held a high-scoring Oklahoma team to zero points in the second half.

Clemson also has a dynamic offense with a dual threat QB.  They certainly are a worthy opponent for a national championship game, a better, more balanced team than Bama's last two opponents in the championship game. 

I agree that Bama probably has its best defense of the Saban era.  Faster, more disruptive, more versatile against different offenses.  By the same token, I don't think Bama has quite the talent level on the offensive line that Bama had in the 2009-12 era.  So even though Henry is probably the most talented RB Bama has had ever, MSU showed teams can stop the run if they are dedicated to it.  If Clemson can accomplish this (and I'm not sure that they can, at least not as well as MSU did), then they have probably better DBs to defend the pass.  Still, it is choose your poison with defending Bama.

I'm not too concerned with all this "dual threat QB" hype.  That is old news, Bama had recruited faster D-Linemen and developed a defense to contain QB runs.  Still it just takes one slip up for a big gain.

All this is to say I'm looking forward to seeing how Bama handles its final challenge.
