The Crimson Tide will get more depth at CB for Saturday's 2:30 p.m. tilt at Ole Miss with the return of Eddie Jackson from injury.

Jackson ... missed the opener against West Virginia as he was still recovering from a spring ACL injury and didn't play against Florida on Sept. 20 because of a quad injury. ...

"We worked Eddie quite a bit last week," Saban said. "I think he's getting there. We're certainly going to give him more opportunities in practice this week and see where that goes."

We need EJ healthy, quick, and explosive for this defense to be full strength.  He had a breakout game against Ole Miss last year, intercepting a pass and making several big plays in his first start.  The upcoming 2 weeks will test our DBs, and playing true-freshman Tony Brown isn't an encouraging outlook.

Why do you say that, Chech? So far, TB's played well. In fact, I think he could eventually replace Cyrus Jones, and I think Cyrus has improved over last year. JMO, though.

Tony Brown will be a great CB for Bama, but he's young, inexperienced, and hardly tested.  I liked his play against Florida, but I think we'll need Eddie in there as much as possible to keep them both fresh.  What I meant was 'Tony alone isn't encouraging...'.

Gotcha! Looking forward to seeing them both play.
