I have a feeling a great feeling this will be the most funniest, and best fishing trip ever. Lord the fishing stories the grandkids will hear from all this.  Laughing Laughing, RTR!

Preacher, for that to happen, the fishing will need to get better. Chech caught a ladyfish, I caught a seagull (both catch and release), and in NALT's defense, he arrived late, but today's another day. Fixing to leave here shortly to go slay the fish.

Yeah it was a beautiful day at the beach. 2 was reprimanded by the beach hitch for entangling a gull (it was clearly the gull's fault), and I fought in a fine, powerful ladyfish (harumph). The web connection in my motel room is very slow, so I'm on my phone. Will add photos when I can.

Wow, I see one fish and a lot of sitting and smiling. What gives? Now, the ocean is beautiful, gosh hope you all have a great time but now my main question is; where are the wives while all this smiling is going on?  Laughing Laughing, RTR!

I've got a fishing hat like Chech that I wish I had'a worn yesterday whilst pressure washing my driveway.  Oh well, got a good start on chroming my dome.

You all did a good pose but each of you are supposed to be holding a fish.
Hope you all had a fun day, the weather here was very good for fishing, hope yours was too.

What fish? I think we could have done better in a mud puddle.

Even though we didn't catch anything, we had a great time. We started out yesterday surf fishing at the beach again, but as was the case the day before, the win was blowing out of the east, which is the worst possible scenario for surf fishing. Around noon, we picked up all our stuff and moved to the pass, where the bay empties into the gulf. We had a few hits , but reeled in nothing.

We decided, finally, to go to Peg Leg Pete's. We knew for sure that there was fish there. We  had a wonderful seafood lunch there. Pics forthcoming.

We capped everything off with a steak cookout at my house. I'm pretty sure a good time was had by all. I know I enjoyed it very much. Next time, maybe Chech won't bring that east wind with him and we'll be grilling fish, too.

Safe travels back home NALT and Chech!

Here we are at Peg Leg's.

....and look who came in, it's Hugh Freeze.

Chech and NALT hamming it up with Coach Freeze. I think NALT has a higher quality pic of this he can post later.

Sorry I didn't get down there as I had planned. Life intervened, as it often does. Looks like y'all had a blast. Maybe next time.

Sorry you couldn't make it ATU, but we will be putting more of these together.

FWIW, Chech went out again this morning and the conditions changed. He had some success. I'm sure he'll post about it later.

Well, I made it home alright.  The Durango has been "acting up" for several months now but I decided to drive it down there anyways.  The thing stalled on me about 10 or 12 times, just died!  Some of those times were on the interstate going 65-70 miles per hour.  Frustrating but not a major safety issue usually.

I had a GREAT time too.  2Stater, Chech and "Fred" were a lot of fun to hang out and fish with.  The only thing that would have made it any more fun would have been to actually catch some fish. Fred was a fellow that we met on the beach that just WOULD NOT go away except for when a certain female would come and run him off.  Not sure if he will be joining the forum or not but who knows? I think I took a pic of Fred and if so, I'll try and post that when I get a chance.  He was without a doubt a very friendly fellow though...

2State, thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality (and that of Mrs. 2) at your home last evening.  Also thanks for the lunch on Sunday.  Chech, thanks for the late lunch yesterday.  I owe you both...
