Just another outrageous example of sleazy politicians NEVER letting a tax expire.

The last of the more than 60,000 Confederate veterans who came home to Alabama after the Civil War died generations ago, yet residents are still paying a tax that supported the neediest among them

"I reckon so"

"it's a good thing you came along..I might have killed her"

I guess I ain't so old after all.

Nasty habit , young man..you born in a barn?

She thinks I'm some kind of Cherokee chief.

Wonder where she got that idea?

Buzzards gotta eat..same as worms.

Thanks to what you've done here today, Senator, I've got to hunt that man down.

I had to come back.  I know.

You be Ten Bears?  I am Ten Bears.

I've come here today to show you that my words of death are like iron, and so are my words of life.

What'll ye have, stranger?
Whiskey.
no whskey
Beer, then.
people in the bar laugh
(Rose says, How 'bout something else?)
No whiskey either, first the silver run out, then the beer run out then the whiskey run out, then the people run out.
But its good to see a high roller come by.

I knowed a man one time didn't like to be called high handed

Might you be the mother of tom turner whose crooked river ranch is over by blood butte?

That I am, Miss.

Well, I am Rose! Reckon he wrote you all about me.

AS you can tell, I've seen that movie more than afew times..one of my favorites..along with Lonesome Dove.

Cohen brother's remake of "True Grit" was a great movie. Identical to the 1969 book. The movie relied on the actors to carry the film. No 3-D crap needed.
