Good morning everybody. Hey Chechem I had a knife that looked like that one time but I know it wasn't as good as that one. My dad carried a Case XX with bone looking handle for years till he died. NALT hope that pain is over for the holidays and all is good. 2Stater hope your beaches are slippery for fishing, lol. SC hope your family is well and all is good for the holidays. Good Saturday morning.  Waiting for the coffee to brew. 

Was that supposed to be a competitive bb game last night against 8'-tall Bamba and Texas??  It was painful to watch.  Ugh!

Spending today with family today, wrapping gifts, and EATING.  I need exercise, but it's a rainy day in Virginia.  You?

BTW, I sort of went fishing yesterday.  I was at my BIL's lake, so I borrowed a rod and made a few casts for bass; NONE.  The lake was full of merganzers (sorta ducks), s maybe they ate all the fish!

Sorry you struck out yesterday, Chech. Fixing to leave here and try my luck at it. Will pick D up and head to Orange Beach. Folks been catching reds and pomps there, according to D. Worth a shot anyway. If we don't catch any fish, at least there's Fireball.

2, bear spray is cheap.  It doesn't work, but it's cheap. 

Pretty good gun show.  I bought one OLD Case knife (made between 1902-1908).  It's a swell-center pen knife, like this one but older:

I've got an old case it's not near as old as yours it's only 3 inches long and it's got Dwight David Eisenhower engraved on the big blade it keeps good sharp edge and it's handy to carry in the pocket

That's a fine knife.  It's a swell-center half whittler, made between 1920-1940 (probably late 1930s).  Greenbone (jigged bone) handles.  Nice.
I'll take it.

We will be going over to Athens to my oldest brother's house this evening for our family Christmas get-together.  I always look forward to that.  Shoulder pain is definitely better this morning.  Just hope that I don't do anything to cause it to hurt worse...  Hope you all have a wonderful day...

Tried it both ways. The surf was just too rough and the sand bar had washed in too close, causing logistic problems with where to cast. BTW, we ended up at Fort Pickens. The road has re-opened.
