I am watching it. There is some good talent again this year. I love being a part of the discovery of new singers and later keeping up with their progress out in the world.

From last year: Scotty McCreery has been doing well on the Country Music Billboard 100. Click here for link

From a couple of seasons ago: Adam Lambert is the new front man for Queen. Freddie Mercury (so great) who died in 1991 was not replaced until now. This song is a tribute to him.
WOW Adam!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlWdC45tgno&feature=related

P.S. Queen's original version of the song (the show must go on). It was written by drummer Brian May for Freddie Mercury who sang it just before he died in 1991. His last song. He was so ill and thin that his image is not on this video. His voice was strong though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l8G-T07C1U

The field will be narrowed to the top 10 (5 females and 5 males) tonight.
This is a very good year for talent. Best that I have seen.

Hey, CP! I'm watching Idol again. I think they have some great Girls this year, but the Guys seem weak to me. I haven't settled on a favorite yet but Shannon Magrane stands out. Joshua Ledet for the Guys but I'm not sure he has "Star" quality.

Hey KoKoPuf.... Grin

I sort of favor those two as well. Phillip Phillips might surprise us...but who knows who will rise up at this point. Tell Kupkake hi!

I'm on the way to do errands....be back later.

Three months later:

Uh huh..... it looks like Phillip Phillips may win this thing. One more week to go.

Gossip: The internet says today that JLo isn't coming back next year by her own choice. But I read the other day that since Idol viewership has gone down by 25%, the program heads are wanting younger judges and will be cleaning house.

Forbes reported yesterday, that Jennifer Lopez made 52 million dollars this past year....and unseated Lady Gaga as number 1.

Good to see you too Ricky. Cheesy

I guess I don't take words as literally as you. I certainly don't "worship" any of these contestants and don't think about the tv program except one night a week at 7:00. When you think about it, "Idol" is probably not the best choice of words for this program. But an idol can be anything we place our attention on obsessively in place of God.

The Crimson Tide is an example of idol worship for some people maybe. Huh?

P.S. If I were a minister, I probably would not watch "American Idol" either. It is a stupid, offensive, shallow title for a show. I do like to hear the best contestants sing though. It is the only reality show I watch except for "Antiques Roadshow."
