If anyone is having trouble coming down off all the excitement from last night, the basketball team starts at 6.  That will settle you right down.

Play calling:

Haven't heard anybody say it, but I was very pleased to see Daboll calling so many passing plays once he had 'a hot quarterback'.  That's when you win, when you let the hot hand keep throwing.  College coaches are so controlling these days that offenses stand and wait for a call from the sidelines.  Last night's up-tempo play during the second half was VERY refreshing; catch and throw.  Tua stayed focused, stayed hot, and UGA wore down quickly.

WOOT!

It's easy to call good offensive plays when everyone executes. ALL the plays look good then. Been listening to Clemson sports radio today. They started by whining and complaining about the officiating, then graduated to "Tua may be the greatest QB of all time and I told ya so and Saban is dumb for not using him earlier".

I would argue that THEY are the dumb ones. Why use your secret weapon before you have to? Still won the Natty, right? Timing is everything.  Cool

About 12 hrs ago I finally went to sleep -- after several visits/toasts with Ezra Brooks.  The significance of what happened last night, and HOW it happened has not sunk in with me yet.  It's still almost a dream.

What a sudden reversal of emotion at the end of the game.  That last time I remember a game like that was Van Tiffin's field goal against Barn back in the 80's, I think.  I can't put that kind of feeling of joy into words.

It's not just that we came in as the #4 seed and won the Natty.  Somehow it feels like the style of Bama's O has been irreversibly changed, at least for a while.

Yeah, baby, me too.  Can't sleep yet!

Maybe it's winning for all of those players who were injured, and because it seemed so improbable.  It's certainly sweet!!

I think the "O" was there, it just needed someone to execute it.
