I'm in a 3 day golf tournament that starts today at 7:30 AM on the Navy Base. My golf partner asked me to bring my "A" game. I told him I didn't have one, would a B- game be ok? He didn't think that was funny. 

As LF likes to say: "You could be replaced."
She gets really mad if I correct her: "REPACLED."

 

I hear ya. Mrs 2 isn't a fan of "forum humor" either. 

I'm planning to publish "The Best of Forum Humor" on a postcard.

I think SC was only talking about my contribution. He couldn't afford the billboard to put yours on. 

Yesterday's round was a 2 man scramble. My partner and I were 2 under with 3 holes to play. We bogied 2 of the 3 to finish at even par 72. A little disappointed that we faltered a bit at the end, but even par is not bad for a couple of hackers. Today is "best ball" format. After today's round, we will be flighted. Tomorrow will be total score format for all the marbles.

There's a slight chance of a shower today but overall it should be good weather for the game. After the sweltering heat in Bryant Denny last Saturday night, I know the fans will appreciate anything better than that. You might include a better score as well.

My partner can crush the golf ball, so we used most of his drives. Yesterday was one of those rare days where I putted well. We had 4 birdies and should have had 6. I horseshoed 2 putts.

Because today's round doesn't start until 1:00, so I will miss most of the game, but I do have it DVR ready, so I can watch it when I get home. J, y'all pull 'em through for me!

That's a bummer, these tournament organizers should always check the Bama schedule. They had a tournament at Tall Pines (Woodland Forrest) yesterday and the top two teams (4 man) shot a 54 with the next two teams shooting a 55. They were throwing some darts at the greens. Shelton State, Tuscaloosa, put on the tournament. I saw Bobby Sprowl, Shelton baseball coach and ex Bama player there and just missed seeing Butch Hobson's son. Butch's son plays for Shelton.

It was a big day in college football as some teams that aren't used to losing found the going tough Saturday. It will be interesting to see how this season unfolds.

Congrats to Phil, Preacher, and the rest. 

It was a long day for me yesterday. Left home to go to the golf tournament at 10:30 yesterday morning, and didn't get home until 7:30. Slept in this morning. My partner and I are in the 4th flight out of 10 and will tee off at 10:30, weather permitting. We are currently in between 2 rain systems, so I'm not sure we will get it in. Oh well, I can watch the replay of the Bama game if we get rained out.

It was sweet watching the barn burn again last night.
