Title: Penn State QB Situation Up in the Air
Post by: Marshal Dillon on April 17, 2011, 12:23:49 PM
I think Penn St. really struggles this year. They don't have a Trent Richardson and a super D to fall back on.

Paterno didn't mince words about the other quarterbacks in the competition, saying redshirt freshman Paul Jones " has to work his way into" McGloin and Bolden's comfort level and former heir apparent Kevin Newsome is sometimes "the last guy to the practice field."

Jo Pa trying for the Spurrier Award this year?

Correct me if wrong, but were they not trying to find a QB this time last year? Have they not received the CNS memo on process?

They started a freshman QB against us last year. I guess they're not happy with him.

Well this is sounding good for Bama but to me it is sad to see Joe Pa still hanging around well past the time when he should have retired.  He has been such a positive for college FB but he doesn't know when to hang 'em up.  He must be comparing notes with Farve. Sad.
