I will be honest I am worried about the next game.  First the unispired first half play by Bama is a cause for concern.  Second, The Nutt always seems to come up with one upset a year.  I sort of wish Bama had dropped in the rankings to show they have to impress and play every play, not just a half when they are playing an unranked team.

I agree, coach.  It sets up as a trap game.  It's an away game, sandwiched between two home games (including Homecoming), the middle of what SHOULD be a fairly easy three game stretch, against a not-very-good team that had a bye yesterday, while we're still a couple of games away from our bye.  Nutt does seem to manage to get his team up for one game a year.  Our guys need to be ready.

I like being the road team for this one. The team comes together on the road. No strange distractions. Nutt doesn't have the ammo in this one.

You all are right, better beware the softy Rebels. Coach Nutt is that. I remember CNS first year when he had to make the officials take a look at the guy running out of bounds and coming back in. This is what won that game and it was at Ole Miss. I know we both was no good but they are like Vandy, a thorn on us. RTR!

The Nutt seems to win a big game every year that his team is not supposed to win. Ole Miss has several players from the state of Alabama and several more from Mississippi that have a chip on their shoulder because they were not recruited by Alabama. I expect us to win easily but we will be playing a rested (coming off a bye week) team that will be fired up and ready to play. I don't think Ole Miss has the team to stay with us in the second half.

Maybe if Ole Miss sneaked over and tied our shoe laces together...

Hey WV you thinking we may blow Ole Miss away like these other games? The way Ole Miss plays us sometimes I don't see it right now. It would be interesting to see though. RTR!

I take comfort in [1] the Ole Miss QB's comments that Bama can be beaten and [2] the way the team played in the first half vs. Vandy.  I think #1 gives an extra dose of motovation and #2 will remind guys of last year.  The leaders on the team need to be vocal this week.

Plus, maybe #3 is CNS will have plenty to gritch about from the Vandy game.

I don't think it is so much that Vandy or Ole Miss are a pox on our house. It is that we are a pox on our own house when these games come around. If these recruits that did not get Bama offers were so great they'd be in Tuscaloosa. The team allows themselves to think about other things and don't concentrate as much as they should, against the sisters of the poor.

I think it is a matter of the underdog playing above their head and the favorite going through the motions while having trouble getting motivated to play a team they know they can beat. Thats why the favorite normally takes control in the second half and very seldom loses.

There are examples every year where teams who should not be on the field with another team wins the game.  Should Wake Forrest play with FSU?

My theory is that if a team with lesser athletes begins to push around a great team, that better team will wake up fast. Sometimes it doesn't happen, but Bama is too loaded to get pushed around the field and not react.

OT has stepped his posting up the last couple of days. Preparing for a BCSNCG run? The rest of y'all have gotten spoiled--rotten!

I think Nutt has the team and crowd hugely fired up for this game but it wears off in the middle of the 2nd quarter. I think the box will be loaded with 8 guys to stop our running game. AJ then has a big game and we win something like 42-7.
