I should be fishing right now.  If me and my family didn't need to eat I would quit work and fish and play my guitar all the time...

I have had no luck so far. Only a few small ones. The water is too high right now from all the rain. I expect that to make fishing poor for at least another week or so.

Went a couple of weeks ago, The crappie are biting, but slow, still in 10-12 feet of water.  Kept 19 over 2 days fishing.  Since then heavy rains have the water high and muddy.

Zebco 33 is a classic. I learned to fish as a kid with a Zebco 202.

Anyone like to bass fish?

What is your favorite bait?

I have my best luck with a Zoom purple plastic worm - carolina rig. If that is not working I try a yellow buzz bait. If all else fails I try a beetle spin. If that does not work it is time to go home.

I love to bass fish. I've had good luck with a zoom watermelon red lizard with a chartreusse tail , sometimes a crankbait

I like to bass fish but I don't have a favorite lure. I just start with a lure, (top-water, spinner bait, crankbait, etc.), and keep changing until I find what they want.

I've had the pleasure of spending a day with Bill and he is a lot of fun. I did a bass tournament for the RISE School and he came down to help us out, what a day we had. He tried to give Johnny Stallings a Tennessee cap but Johnny wouldn't take it, insted he gave Bill a Bama cap. Bill really had a great time with the kids at RISE.

I saw him about two years ago at the BASS Pro Shop in Memphis and he wanted to know if I was still doing the tournament, classy guy.

Bad news for you fishermen....

Quote
An antibacterial agent that's an ingredient in some bar soaps has a "strong" tendency to accumulate in the bodies of fish, finds a new study.

The agent, triclocarban (TCC), is a source of environmental health concerns due to its potential hormone-disrupting effects.

Had a wonderful time, it was a great day on the water. The early bite for bass was pretty good, we each caught a limit of bass, 1 1/2 lbs to 3 lb size. We then crappie fished and caught 20 of them. We had 8 that were 12 inches long which is a decent size crappie.

Wish you could have been there TAZ and #1.
