I wonder what the ditto referred to.

Someone with a low post count posted a rant about how terrible the forum was and announced his departure. Ed showed up and on his first post said, "ditto... I'm gone"

The thread became epic.

On the last day of TideSports double nickel revealed that he had created Ed.

I did not know that last piece of the story.  I was busy scrambling to build this pacle before everyone scattered so we wouldn't all be e-homeless.

Does anyone remember ed from tidesports.com? I sure do miss that guy.

He posted here 1 time then was never heard from again. 

I was mistaken, he never posted here.  I set up the registration options so that no one could register as "ed". 

And as a result we've missed out on five years of his insightful commentary.

Well, I never thought of it like that.  It never occurred to me that the real ed might want to sign up.
