Title: More Bad News For Oregon, Plus An Auburn Tidbit
Post by: Marshal Dillon on March 03, 2011, 08:17:18 PM
This is getting over-the-top about Oregon recruiting. Plus, could Auburn be implicated with the same creeps in this matter.

Not to rain on the parade, but Trent Richardson was involved with him as well.  :o

The Street Agent – Here to Destroy Your College Football Soul (http://barkingcarnival.fantake.com/2009/06/21/the-street-agent-%E2%80%93-here-to-destroy-your-college-football-soul/)

This article is almost two years old and highlights the Seastrunk recruitment as being shady among others (Richardson).

He also acknowledges that in many of these cases the recruit is innocent (Albert Means comes to mind) but rogue boosters or corrupt/greedy family members are susceptible to trying to buy the influence of the street agent.

So, if Richardson didn't know....no problema, si?

I would never thought Coach  Chip Kelley would have been a man of false recruiting. I guess we will see now. RTR!

Albert Means didn't know either.

I think that Newton's saving grace for his elgibility was the lack of proof that money actually exchanged hands and that $cam attended a different school than the one with the actual admitted PFP discussions.

Means was ruled to be innocent in the deal by the NCAA so he maintained his eligibility, but SEC rules forced him to leave the SEC, so he went back home to play for Memphis.

I'm quite certain that we are going to be good after all of this, but it will just be another black-eye for us and a "we hate the SECheat" talking point for the Big 10ers and oversigning protesters of the CFB world.
