Title: Boise State to face NCAA today
Post by: Coach Hank Crisp on June 10, 2011, 01:31:53 PM
Boise State to face NCAA today (http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/_/id/42942/boise-state-to-face-ncaa-today)

Boise State will face the NCAA Committee on Infractions (COI) today in Indianapolis, where it will defend itself against a charge of lack of institutional control in its major penalty case.

I didn't know that Boise was being investigated. The past 4-5 years all I recall hearing during football season was what a great team the Broncos were and what a great program Chris Peterson had built.

BCS busters busted!

I am surprised.

They kind of get unnoticed due to the potential hammer that is about to fall on tOSU. Poor Boise. They can't even get respect when they are being investigated.  :)

I think this has more to do with the other sports than football if my memory serves me correctly. I think it is Tennis to be more precise. RTR!

Tennis is included but so is football.

Quote
This is the first major infractions case for Boise State. Five separate Boise State programs violated NCAA rules: football, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track and field. The football program committed a series of minor violations when coaches arranged for incoming student-athletes to bunk with athletes already enrolled at Boise State. It is against NCAA rules to arrange for housing, and to receive discounted meals and housing.

In all, 63 football players received improper benefits totaling $4,934. All that money has been repaid and donated to charity.

I guess the only time I ever wear my sunglasses when I'm watching tv is when I watch Boise St play at home.   8)

Maybe as a way to avoid sanctions the NZAA will require BSU to make the field green as God intended.
