Boise State will face the NCAA Committee on Infractions (COI) today in Indianapolis, where it will defend itself against a charge of lack of institutional control in its major penalty case. I didn't know that Boise was being investigated. The past 4-5 years all I recall hearing during football season was what a great team the Broncos were and what a great program Chris Peterson had built. BCS busters busted! Poor Boise. They can't even get respect when they are being investigated. :)

Five separate Boise State programs violated NCAA rules: football, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's track and field. The football program committed a series of minor violations when coaches arranged for incoming student-athletes to bunk with athletes already enrolled at Boise State. It is against NCAA rules to arrange for housing, and to receive discounted meals and housing. In all, 63 football players received improper benefits totaling $4,934.
