The Crimson Tide is back to No. 1 in the country in rushing defense after allowing 91 yards against Auburn. No Gus Malzahn-coached Tiger offense ran far that few yards since the 2011 Iron Bowl (78). It pushed Alabama past Boston College with a season average of 78.9.
Alabama's also closing in on the total defensive lead. Auburn got 260 yards to bring Alabama's season average to 264.6. Boston College finished the season allowing 254.4 a game while the Tide faces Florida next week in the SEC title game.
As for Henry, he's on top of a few statistical categories. His 1,797 rushing yards moved him past Leonard Fournette (1,741) for the national rushing lead.... Henry's 149.8 average per game is third, but his 22 rushing touchdowns broke an Alabama record and leads the country.
