This kid is taking golf seriously. 2 straight top 10 finishes. Finished -11 and tied for 9th at the Shell. Great job, Bud. (He was also on my golf fantasy team this week)

I'm not sure what the qualifications are for the Masters, someone said on here the other day that the player had to be ranked in the top 50. If that is so, he just missed, he is ranked 53rd after the tournament today. The bogey on #18 today may have cost him.

Bud did not qualify for the Masters. He is having a vey good year and will keep his card easily. It would not surprise me if he wins a tournament this year.

The qualifications for the Masters are hard for me to follow but the top 50 on the PGA money list make it, a certain number of the top players in the world ranking make it, recent major winners and all past Masters winners. I'm sure I left something out. Bud is ranked 53 on the money list after a top 10 today. The cut off was two weeks ago I believe so he was not as close as it appears.

He will not make the Masters this year, but I darn sure wouldn't count him out for next year. He is honing his craft nicely.

I think he has a chance for a win as well. If he can continue to stay around the top 10, it's only a matter of time until he gets it. I would like to see him improve enough to make the Ryder Cup team this year.

He's got the skills. He just needs to learn how to finish. Both weeks, he leaked oil at the end.
