"I had the opportunity to read his book when I was a kid growing up and thought it was one of the most fantastic books that I ever read," Saban said Thursday night on his weekly radio show. "I used to always like Alabama, watched them play."

"But I never in my wildest dreams thought I would ever be here at Alabama, but it has been the best experience that we've ever had in our coaching career," Saban said.

Thought it appropriate to move it here in remembrance of Coach Bryant's 101st birthday, which was yesterday.

I was listening to CNS last night when he said that. Makes you proud to be a BAMA fan! RTR!!!!

Last night's "Hey Coach" was a good one.  I recommend you listen to it if you missed it.

CNS was asked what his most memorable moment was at Bryant-Denny.  His answer will make you proud to be a Bama fan.  He said he still gets chills when he thinks about walking into the stadium for that first A-Day game and see the stadium packed.  He said that is when he knew Alabama was a special place, or something along those lines.  Quit reading my nonsense and go listen to it for yourself!
